Access to the starting point:
Cross the border crossing Sotina into Austria, where you turn left just after the border towards Strgarjevo / Kalch. After this point, you will arrive from the Austrian state of Burgenland into the Austrian state of Styria / Steiermark, and after Neustift, turn right at the crossroads in the direction of Kapfenstein. In the village, turn right towards Schloss Kapfenstein and follow the signs for the castle at the following junctions. Park to the right of the castle in the parking lot at the edge of the forest.
Path description:
From the end of the parking lot, continue north-west, following the gently sloping cart track, which leads through the forest. The path splits in the woods and we continue right over a fence (straight ahead Schloss Kapelle), where we follow the track. A little further on, take a sharp right (straight Schloss Kapelle) and climb quickly to the top of Kapfensteiner Kogel.
