Access to the starting point:
a) From the motorway Ljubljana - Celje, take the Šempeter exit and continue towards Prebold and later Trbovlje. Follow the serpentine road to the Podmeja Pass, where you will park in the parking lot near the hunting lodge.
b) From Zasavje, first drive to Trbovlje, then continue to Prebold. When you reach the Podmeja Pass, park in the parking lot near the hunting lodge.
Path description:
From the Podmeja pass, head west on the worse macadam road towards Svete mountain pasture. After some 10 steps leave the road and continue along cart track, which climbs gently through the forest. Higher up, cart track becomes completely flat and gradually changes from an undistinguished ridge to the axial side. Here the marked cart track turns sharp right (poorly marked) and starts to descend more visibly. At the end of the descent, you come to a wide cart track, which you follow in a few steps to a tarmac road, which you follow to the right. Next, looking towards Kum and climbing past a few houses, ascend to a marked crossroads, where you continue towards "Sveta planina - footpath" (to the right Sveta planina access by car).
Continue along a winding dirt road for some time, then reach a small hamlet where you turn sharp right and then immediately after the house left onto the climbing cart track. Cart track first leads us through grassy hay meadows, descends slightly even briefly higher up and then leads us into a dense forest where it starts to climb steeply. Higher up, the path turns to the left and, after some 10 steps of further walking, leads us to a marker next to which stands a lonely house. Behind the house the path widens again and leads us past a water trough to the vast grassy slopes north of Svete mountain pasture.
Here continue right towards the top of Javor (left Sveta planina for 5 minutes, slightly right along the road Planinski dom Vrhe) and continue along the initially folded cart track. Cart track, which continues over a grassy slope, quickly starts to climb steeply and splits into two parts. Take the right-hand cart track, which climbs above the water tower, and then on the left-hand side find a less well-trodden path which, after a few minutes' climb through the forest, leads to a secluded hut in the middle of the woods. From the hut, continue straight ahead and follow the less well-worn path up to the forested summit in a few minutes.

Discussion about the trail Podmeja - Javor

Pozdravljeni, danes sem šel v megli po tej poti na Javor.Pot je odlično markirana vendar samo do prostranih travnatih pobočij severno od Svete planine,od tu do vrha pa nobene več.Vseeno pa je to čudovit izlet.Ob slabem vremenu pa je treba biti pod vrhom malo bolj pozoren. Lp

Bila sva včeraj na tej poti do planinskega doma Vrhe. Lep pomladanski pohod  Polomljeno drevje je precej otežilo hojo. Markaciste prosim, da jo poskušajo urediti. Dom na Partizanskem vrhu je zaprt zaradi adaptacije
