Log v Trenti - Velika Glava (Old military mule track on Velika Glava)

Access to the starting point:
a: From the route of Bovec towards Vršič to Logo in Trenta, where approx. 200m before Logo turn for mountain pasture Lepoche. Park here in front of the ramp.

b: From the Ljubljana side to Kranjska Gora, where you turn for the Vršič pass and descend over it to Log v Trenti. Just 200m further on, turn left for mountain pasture Lepoča, where you park in front of the ramp.

Path description:
Park at the ramp for mountain pasture. Continue along the road to the first sign for Zasavska hut, where you turn left down over the little bridge over the Beladovec stream and on to the second fork with the sign for Zasavska koča na Prehodavcih , where you turn left up the track. Continue past the last weekend on the mulatier towards mountain pasture Lepoča and Trebisce dol. Just above mountain pasture Lepoča, which is now a small plateau covered with spruce trees, the trail branches off to the left after mountain pasture Trebišcina. We have to be careful not to miss it, because there are no signs. When you reach the crumbling mountain pasture Trebišcina, turn left at the buildings along a faint track to the bottom of the hill, where you turn right at the manor house uphill along a faint track. Follow the track (an overgrown mulatier) slightly to the left to a steep pasture, where, after crossing it on the left-hand side, continue uphill, where you will come across a slightly more visible mulatier. Continue up through the woods, and slightly to the left, where you encounter a steeper overgrown area, where the track is lost due to winter creep, but follow the track to the base of a rock in the right-hand corner, where you again encounter a mulatier. From here the trail is more traceable. Slowly, the trail runs to the left to a rock passage, which is easily crossed. From here the track zigzags uphill to the first remains of military buildings (probably a stable). Shortly afterwards, a little below the summit, you will come across the remaining military buildings. The summit is reached by a poorly visible path between dwarf pines, from where a view of Prehodavci and the other surrounding hills opens up. For easier orientation I recommend using GPS tracks. I recommend returning along the grassy slope to Trebiški dol.
The trail is not suitable for ordinary mountaineers as it is not marked and has become quite overgrown over the years. Suitable for experienced lovers of new routes with knowledge of orienteering.
