Koča pri Jelenovem studencu - Slovenski vrh

Access to the starting point:
Drive to Kočevje and then through the town towards Croatia. When you reach the junction with Podgorska Street, turn right towards the Gaj Sports Park, Fridrihštejn Castle and the starting point of the hiking trails. Continue along Podgorska Street and then, after a compacted part of the settlement, you will come to a large marked parking area, which you will pass on the right hand side. At the next crossroads go slightly left, then twice right. From the last junction onwards the road starts to climb crosswise, and we follow it at the next junctions towards the PD hut. Higher up, the road is laid, and then after a short descent leads us to the last junction, where we continue slightly right in the direction of the parking lot and the Ice Cave. When you reach the parking lot above Koča pri Jelenovem studencu, park.

Path description:
From the parking lot, descend to the mountain hut, and from there continue along the gently sloping road that leads across the meadow. When the road passes into the forest, it climbs slightly, then leads us to a marked crossroads, where we join the path from the valley, and we continue left, along the road, which continues to zložno to moderate climbs. Higher up, the road lays down, then descends in a few steps to a crossroads, where we continue straight on (sharp left to return to the starting point).
Continue walking for a few minutes along the road that took you to the starting point, and then the signs for Ledenik direct you left down a footpath that continues through the forest. The path quickly becomes level, and then a short climb leads us to another forest road, which we follow to the left. There are two successive crossroads, and we continue along the right-hand road, with signs for Eleonora's Cave at the second crossroads. A few 100 metres further on, signs from the road leading to Eleonora's cave direct us to the right, to cart track, which continues through the forest, and at the crossroads we follow the signs. After a few minutes, the cart track markings direct us to the right, on a path that begins to climb towards the summit of Ledenik, which is reached after about 10 minutes of further walking.
From Ledenika continue along the Kočevje mountain trail, which initially descends along the ridge and then lays transiently. There is some more downhill, where you follow the markings, and then reach the end of the forest road, which you continue to descend. When the road turns right, we continue to the left, on a marked path that continues through the forest. A little lower down, we reach one of the forest roads again, but we reach it just by a stump with a canopy. Here we continue to the left, and then, in front of the forestry hut Bivaki, the road turns right and begins to turn semicircularly to the left. After the semicircle around the forestry hut, the road turns slightly to the right, and signs lead us to the right, on a path that continues without any major changes in elevation. A little further on, you reach cart track, which leads you down to the turning point of the next forest road. Continue walking along the road for a few minutes, which occasionally opens up some views to the south-west, where you can see Goteniška Gora. After a few minutes, turn right again, and after a slight ascent, you reach another road, which you only cross. A few minutes of moderate climbing follows, and then you reach the bottom of Slovenski vrh, where the path climbs more steeply. The steep climb ends quickly as the path quickly leads to Slovenski vrh. Starting point - Ledenik 1:15, Ledenik - Slovenski vrh 1:45.
