Gojače - Školj Svetega Pavla above Vrtovin (via water tower)

Access to the starting point:
From the expressway Nova Gorica - Razdrto, take the exit Selo and then continue along the parallel old road towards Ajdovščina. At the end of Selo, turn left and cross the bridge over the motorway to the nearby craft zone. Continue straight on here, then reach the crossroads at Gojače, where you go straight on again. Continue past the cemetery, after which bear slightly right, and then bear slightly right again at the next junction, which is located just a little further from the nearby church. The road then climbs slightly steeper and leads past the last houses in the village to the hunting lodge LD Čaven (Gojače). Park in the large macadam parking lot near the hunting lodge.

Path description:
From the parking lot, continue along the meadow (the meadow continuing from the parking lot), then after some 10 m, on the right-hand side, you will see a folded cart track turning to the right. Take the aforementioned cart track, which continues through the bushes and which soon leads to the first unmarked crossroads. Continue on the slightly right-hand cart track, which crosses a grazing fence just ahead and turns left after it. Cart track then passes into the woods and gradually begins to climb transversely to the right. Higher up, cross the distinct ravine of the Gojiška potok, and we walk from the ravine along cart track for only a few more 10 m, then continue slightly left on a well-traced path which begins to climb moderately. Just a little higher up we cross a pasture fence, and we continue to climb over a gentle grassy slope. When the path returns to the forest, it turns to the right and joins the more beaten track from Vrtovina just a little further on.
Here we continue to the left in the direction of St. Paul (if we continue straight ahead we will reach the water tower after 10 metres) and continue our ascent along a rather steep path, where at one point we are also helped by a small rope. Higher up, the path is laid and leads us out of the forest to the upper edge of the precipitous cliffs. We climb a wide path along the edge of a small precipice, then reach a crossroads where a path branches off to the left to a nearby viewpoint. Continue straight ahead and after 3 minutes of further walking, you will reach St Paul's Church.
