We drive to Trenta side of Vršič road where we direct towards Soča spring. At the cottage at Soča spring we continue across a bridge all the way to a parking lot at the end of the road at Flori.
We go slightly right from the car. After a few steps the path to Bavški Grintovec branches from us. We go to the right to the forest. Path begins rising steeply and Zadnja Trenta is far deeper under us. After an hour and a half of walking we get to crossroads where we turn right (Špiček left). After a couple of minutes we come to crossroads again where the path from Vršič joins. We go straight ahead towards Jalovec. We continue through a very rare forest on south slopes. In hot summer days walking here can be hard. We come to screes under notch of Jalovec. On partly overgrown scree we continue to the crossroads where we turn left (Jalovška škrbina 15 minutes right). We cross slopes towards left and enter the wall. At first we cross the wall a bit. Then the path goes straight on the wall. Path is protected with spikes which are very short and dangerous in wet weather. We soon beat the wall and come to screes. We continue upwards on the scree and we soon come to the top of Ozebnik. View on Tamar is pretty scary and drop is impossible in summer time. We continuer through flat country Jezerce where the path from mountain shelter under Špiček joins. From here the path rises steeply. Some security devices are placed there to help us. We soon step on the ridge of Jalovec. Watch the storm! We follow the wide ridge to the top. After some steps the path from Kotovo sedlo saddle joins. The top isn't exactly wide but we will find a place for ourselves. View is the most beautiful to neighbour Mangart.
