Dom v Dragi - Koča na Prevalu (by road)

Access to the starting point:
From the motorway Ljubljana - Jesenice take the exit Radovljica (from the Gorenjska side take the exit Lesce) and follow the road towards Begunj. At the end of Begunje village, turn left towards the Draga home (Tržič on the right). The asphalted road then leads to a parking area near the Draga home. Park a little further on, as only guests are allowed to park in front of the Draga home.

Path description:
From the parking lot, continue along the road, which takes you past the beehive farm and leads you to a crossroads within a few minutes' walk. Continue left along the road (right Preval-a over Luknja), which starts to climb up the gorge. The road then passes into a dense forest, where it climbs for some time. Higher up, you come to an unmarked crossroads, where you continue along the right-hand "main" road. The road continues to climb, and higher up it passes out of the forest onto the outskirts of mountain pasture Planinac. Follow the road a little further up to the crossroads, which is located a few metres in front of the hut at mountain pasture Planinca.
At the crossroads, bear sharp right along the road in the direction of mountain pasture Preval (straight ahead Poljška mountain pasture and Roblek's house). The road, which continues eastwards across the slopes of Begunjščica, first climbs gently to moderately and then flattens out. A little further on, the path to Roblek's home (across the Roža) branches off sharp left, and we continue along the road, which gradually starts to descend. This sometimes quite scenic road is then followed to the shepherd's hut at mountain pasture Preval.
