Dom Pristava in Javorniški Rovt - Ski lodge Črni vrh

Access to the starting point:
From the motorway Ljubljana - Jesenice take the exit Lipce and follow the road towards Jesenice. When you reach the semaphoreised junction where you join the old road, turn right in the direction of Žirovnice. Follow this road for only a short distance, as at the next slightly larger junction (traffic lights), turn left in the direction of Javorniški Rovto. The road then passes through an underpass (railway) and then turns left (Koroška Bela on the right). Follow the road, which starts to climb steeply higher up, in the direction of Javorníško Rovto. Follow the road to the parking lot near the mountain lodge.

Path description:
From the parking lot, walk to the mountain lodge, then continue your ascent along the initially less visible path that climbs up the left side of the marshy lake. Next, a beautifully visible and wide path leads us after a 5-minute walk to the road, where there is also a crossroads.
Continue straight ahead (right Kahlkogel, left Javorniški Rovt) along the road in the direction of Črnji vrh and Jelenkamn, which climbs moderately past the holiday homes. A marked trail soon turns left from the road to Jelenkamen, and we continue along the road for a few minutes.
When the road turns sharp left, you will see signs directing you straight onto the initially wide path that begins to climb along the stream. The path soon turns into a dense forest, where it then continues along and along cart track. The waymarked path crosses a forest road higher up and then dips slightly.
A little further on, the path reaches a small undistinguished pass, after which it gradually descends. A few minutes' walk through dense forest follows, crossing a slightly larger torrential stream. Behind the stream, the path climbs slightly and leads us out of the forest onto grassy slopes, from which we have a beautiful view. The path then goes on into a sparse forest, where it climbs gently for a while, and then begins to descend past a number of holiday cottages. After a few minutes of descending, the path leads to a ski slope, which is then followed to the intermediate station of the Španov vrh single-seater ski lift. At the intermediate station, you will see direction signs for the Črni vrh ski lodge, which point you down to the left. After a 2-minute walk from where we left the ski slope, the path leads us to the ski lodge.
