Zermatt–Schönbiel Hut an Imposing Mountain Hike

Zermatt offers mainly high tours (winter and summer). Even the "normal" mountain hiker gets his fill, with a large selection. Today's goal is the Schönbielhütte right at the back of the valley at 2694 m. This route requires very good fitness (T2/T3). Therefore, I started above Zermatt at Furi (reachable by gondola). From here, the hike takes 7 to 8 hours if returning to Zermatt. Overnight stay at the hut is possible and recommended. On the way, the famous Matterhorn is repeatedly in view, this time from the north.
