On the tracks of Stoneman Taurista - always a hardcore tour again!
Start in Mandling over Eibenberg to Brandscharte - downhill to Forstau. The beautiful Forstautal always along Forstaubach to Vögeialm 1380 m. This time we stop at this very cozy hut and strengthen ourselves for the further brutally steep uphill to Oberhüttensee - on 4 km/480 Hm, becoming really steep after 2 km. Unfortunately ground conditions were very gravelly and dry so I had to push 2 ramps - total 450 m/60 Hm. But mega proud that I managed so much with own muscle power! As reward enjoy an idyllic mountain lake at 1850 m and let yourself be pampered with culinary delights at Oberhütte by the lake. Today on a very hot summer day we linger at the picturesque Oberhüttensee and enjoy the welcome cooling. On downhill back to Vögeialm we marvel again at our performance. We cruise on grippy gravel track back to Vögeialm and surf the beautiful Forstautal out to Forstau and continue to Reiteralm and bike path back to Mandling: 1330 Uphill Hm/45 Km
