Description: A II degree route on excellent rock. The start is at Forcella delle Mughe, reached from Rifugio Treviso in Val Canali or from the opposite side of Bivacco Menegazzi. From the col, ascend north on evident trail traces, leaving the left trace to the south ridge start. The route begins overcoming a steep 5m rock jump of II degree on solid rock. Can start more easily a few meters left, but the upper ledge returning to the gully is exposed and hold-poor. Reaching the ledge-inclined ramp, ascend it left on an exposed section made tricky by outward-leaning rock. At a nice belay (possibility to rig a rappel), climb a vertical but well-gripped chimney of I+. Over easy rocks reach the base of the most demanding passage. Overcome a 5m jump of II+ on solid but hold-less rock. Proceed on easier terrain, trail traces and rocks to the sub-summit (little madonna with summit register). To reach the main summit, traverse the crest with a short rocky jump of I+ in descent, well exposed. The rest is pure joy and satisfaction for the summit conquest. Grand panoramic views and spectacular framing of the Pale di San Martino. For descent, we didn't use rope, but a short rappel on the hardest passage and underlying belay might be useful, from which one descends 20m directly to the trail.
