The Krottenkopf near Garmisch-Partenkirchen is the highest mountain of the Bavarian Pre-Alps and impresses at its summit with its excellent view. The hike from Oberau is quite strenuous due to the long approach and the large elevation gain and is therefore only recommended for fit hikers.
