Description:
The Haluzická Gorge is a unique natural and technical monument carved by the local stream. It originally did not flow there, but due to human intervention during mining, the water found the shortest path and the Haluzický Stream cut deeply into the less resistant bedrock. Pronounced erosion and also the silting of deposits into the Váh led at the beginning of the 20th century to the construction of a unique technical work consisting of eight stone weirs.
