Description:
This famous plateau in summer is one of the most popular destinations in the province for its ease of access for all, in winter it becomes a place of peace and silence to contemplate the mountain. Behind the former king's hunting lodge (now Rifugio Valasco), shrouded in fog Testa delle Portette and Testa del Claus, at the edges of the plateau the mountains of Cresta San Giovanni, at the end of the valley Asta Sottana. Ascent from Tetti Gaina, just above Sant'Anna di Valdieri where the snow-free road ends, from there it's already long... Cloudy weather with some snowflakes.
