Description:
The Berglistüber is a 44-meter-high waterfall in the municipality of Linthal in the Canton of Glarus (Switzerland).
The cave behind the waterfall is not only the scene of a water play but also an object of great geological significance in the Glarnerland. Through the middle of the cave runs a razor-sharp thrust fault line. It bears witness to a thrust plane on which, during the collision of the continents Africa and Europe, massive rock packages were pushed over each other as so-called nappes or plates.
