The peak is located 5 km northwest from the center of Antholz Mittertal - Anterselva di Mezzo and 6 km west-northwest from the center of Antholz Obertal - Anterselva di Sopra. The nearest mountain hut is Rieserfernerhütte - Rifugio Vedrette di Ries, located 2.0km east. A little further is Außerwegeralm. 1.3 km west-northwest from the summit there is glacier Althauskees - Vedretta di Casavecchia, 4 km east-northeast from the summit there is also glacier Westlicher Rieserferner - Vedretta di Ries occidentale. Northwest of the summit is the valley Reintal - Val di Riva.
