Schönachschneid

Description:
Schönachschneid is 2909 meter high peak in the Zillertal Alps. The peak is located 1.9 km west of peak Wildgerlosspitze. The nearest mountain hut is Plauener Hütte, located 3km south-southeast. A little further is bivouac Neugersdorfer Hütte. 4 km east-northeast of the peak there is lake Unterer Gerlos See. 1.0 km northeast from the summit there is glacier Schönachkees, 1.3 km east from the summit there is also glacier Zillerkees. The peak is located northeast of the valley Hundskehle.
