Description:
Jägerscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2870 meters and is part of the Rieserferner Group. The saddle is located 0.3 km west-southwest of peak Almerhorn near the border with Italy. The nearest mountain hut is Barmer Hütte, located 2km west-northwest. A little further is bivouac Schießstand Jagdverein St. Jakob. 4 km north-northwest of the saddle there is lake Sankt-Josef-See. 4 km west-northwest from the saddle there is glacier Hochgall Ferner - Vedretta di Collalto, 4 km west-northwest from the saddle there is also glacier Lenksteinferner - Vedretta di Sasso Lungo. The saddle is located above the valley Antholzer Tal - Valle di Anterselva.
