@urbanček every digital camera (DSLR and compacts) has settings like saturation, contrast, emphasis on certain colors (and much more + if you have filters) and if you combine that you get one result "anyway you don't get such colors from DSLRs" you know how my pics were made, thumbs up

@korl your comment is also cranked to the max almost a failed HDR comment came out of that

@Keko yeah sorry if you don't know all settings and potential on your camera (even if it's the same ) ---recommend you try some lens filter sometime

"if no measure then colors become too artificial and you see from afar they are "pumped" in wrong direction" maybe for you yes probably born in black and white times and your comments are already from afar "pumped" in wrong direction!

If someone doesn't like someone else's colorful pics on this forum there's no need to "bash" them but let him post his own up there and there'll be peace! Plus as far as I know this thread isn't for some photo contest judging pics etc! But about Jalovec and photos related to Jalovec and NOT their QUALITY and COLORS!!!
Here are also the same pics without colors for those born when the world was still black and white, because they don't know that today there are various polarizing filters and filters of all other sorts that simply slip onto the camera lens to achieve various photo effects!

Been to Mangart several times, never direct from valley...Italian and Slovenian routes done a few times already....never winter ascent to Mangart though.

So winter ascent/route: road to saddle then Italian to summit and descent same way? Does that hold or not...any corrections, additions, detours, shortcuts maybe someone has a GPS track of winter ascent?

@ljubitelj gora: nice pics...pic no. 2....really none...not in valley at all...up there it's also more than half too little ...if it continues like this soon there'll be none left even in the mountains....in summer rivers dry ...except our sewage will flow (it already does anyway)

@Keko: wonderful pics...but I see that Triglav also lacks snow like all other peaks here in SLO....this year there's really just a sample...hope it throws some more otherwise in summer if no rain even rivers will dry ....now I also fancy Triglav a bit

From there onward I am very grateful to you two for overtaking me so I could then walk in your footsteps but I had to hurry quite a bit after you to the top of the Ozebnik, because the wind was filling them up right away
That you two were really very fast I can confirm too, because you two were already on the way down the ridge when I was just ascending toward the top

Yes that view of the sea lit by the sun and the ship on the sea was really wonderful and I'm a little sorry that I didn't take some pics too
I hope we meet somewhere sometime and that I'll be back in form like before , because now I was really a bit lazy

I'm also curious about conditions for Jalovec from Tamar via Jalovec couloir to the summit... if anyone goes up by Friday please tell what conditions are like (photos welcome if possible, as many as you can)... planning maybe to go this weekend not 100% as I have other peaks lined up but really want Jalovec
