Hi all,

I'm curious if there's any other "fellow sufferer" who heads to the mountains with a snowboard on the backpack, spicing up approaches mostly with climbing couloirs?
Here's the issue: for ascent you need boots with hard sole for automatic crampons, then at top changing to soft snowboard boots for descent. I carry soft boots in backpack, but with other gear (crampons, ice axe, occasionally harness and rope + other stuff) it gets pretty heavy.

Sometimes risky changing on exposed spots, and multiple changes for multiple peaks.

Anyone got a solution? Multi-purpose boot they probably haven't made yetnasmehnasmehnasmeh!!

The first picture was taken from Tolminske Ravne. And also, these hills are Tolminski, or at least Tolmin-Bohinj Mountainsnasmeh

The film is now available on the website: www.partis.si, so anyone who is a fan of piracyvelik nasmeh can download it.

Goals or peaks are the same for us with board as for those with touring skis. The key is to pick the right route to the peak that eases the ascent most. Even with snowshoes it's hard to follow a touring skier because the gliding step is much faster. Collect peaks now in winter without long tough access but start ascent quickly. Later swap classic approaches for gully or winter route, no difference anymore because everyone carries skis or board. For conditions TURNIKLUB GORA.

You can go to Mangart also from Belopeška Lakes via Plaz (which is also suitable for ski touring) to Mangart Saddle and onwards to Mangart.

Sunrises are the best, although others sometimes think you're crazy for getting up so earlysmileNothing better than hiking with a headlamp, in peace and returning when others are just changing shoes at the parking lotsmile haha

The weekend will be nice, on which peak will you spend it?nasmeh

I also received it today, since they sent it to me because they selected some of my photos that I sent to kub's photo contest. The images are really worse, since I sent them in much better quality, it bothers me also that some are veeeeeery reduced or enlarged and thus consequently poorer quality. Shame, because otherwise the book is successful, we'll see what the content is like when I read it thoroughlynasmeh

Hi, does anyone know where to get/download the film: Uli Steck The Swiss machine? Has anyone watched it already, besides short clips on YouTube?

Regards

Emm, well that's how I imagined..nasmeh Otherwise, when the weather is good I'll try how it goes in hiking boots too. When I was at the top I thought, what if I descend for a change right in hiking boots and see how it goes, even if worse, but desire for enjoyment in descent always wins, so I prefer to change nasmeh .

Otherwise I've been changing shoes for 7 years already, and will do some more, then maybe someone invents something for us, hahanasmeh
Thanks
