Today I received Andrej Stritar's guidebook Mountains of Slovenia, which I ordered in the pre-order edition. Disappointed with the print. Quite a lot of photos depicting our magnificent mountains are poor quality, grainy and unclear.
The book preview that circulated on the web promised really quality photos. Shame. Once again the rule proved true: buy a printed book that you leaf through first, not just view in digital form.

I also received it today, since they sent it to me because they selected some of my photos that I sent to kub's photo contest. The images are really worse, since I sent them in much better quality, it bothers me also that some are veeeeeery reduced or enlarged and thus consequently poorer quality. Shame, because otherwise the book is successful, we'll see what the content is like when I read it thoroughly

It is important how big the images used for printing are. If the sent images were already basically reduced then I'm surprised they used them for printing at all.
