Well, we finally gathered courage and climbed the via ferrata in Železna Kapla. I have to admit it's really a demanding one. Tomaz and I are both well fit both condition-wise and physically, but at the end of the via ferrata we were quite exhausted. Everyone heading to Kapla, definitely take a sling because it really eases climbing, especially at the end when arms don't work as they should anymore. Kapla is behind us, now on to new challenges: Maltatal, Königjodler,... Anyone have experiences, suggestions,... comparison of difficulty with Kapla???

Geppo thanks for the reply. I have another question because this via ferrata really won't let me rest and I can hardly wait to climb it. Today I climbed the via ferrata in Lavamünd 4 more times on your advice without help of steps and it didn't cause me any problems. But I'm still a bit skeptical when I read various forums that it's an extremely difficult via ferrata, although after looking at photos the Cjajnik via ferrata looks more difficult??!! How about equipment - is a via ferrata set with helmet and gloves enough or do I need additional equipment - rope, sling,...??? Any more advice if not too much trouble. Thanks

Simplified? I think in SSKJ it's written POENOTIL . Thanks for those "useful" tips, I expected that people on this forum don't look if CAPS LOCK is on but exchange USEFUL advice among themselves. I'll try on another one where GORAZD G won't comment.

I'm interested in climbing the via ferrata in Eiserne Kapelle... I don't have much experience myself, all I've climbed so far is the ferrata in Lavamünd (about 20x). Do you think I need more experience before this Austrian via ferrata to match this grade. I've already checked out the ferrata twice and think I'm ready for it (physically and mentally). Thanks for your desired help.
