The path is normally passable (Saturday 03.07.2010), only one jump over the snow patch is a bit risky. To the inexperienced I recommend using an ice axe. From the Stanič - Kredarica junction the path is mostly snow-covered but not dangerous. From Kredarica to the top the path is clear.

We were on Sunday 24.01.2010 on Stegovnik from Kanonirja. With the car we could get past the barrier too (to the hide and feeder), further on foot... Someone had already trampled ahead of us some time ago, but not "tiring" snow and no problems. Markings are enough so orientation is not difficult.
In the valley there was fog (1500 m), a little below the summit sun. Otherwise minor mists, but still super.
The ridge is a bit dangerous, because it's locally exposed, the base unpredictable - powdery snow under it then scree and rocks... A bit uncomfortable.
We ascended two and a half hours, descended one hour and forty minutes without hurrying.
