We have become big mountain enthusiasts. But we have a problem, as we're running out of ideas.

We have been to:
Velika Raduha
Pece
Olševa
Through Okrešelj to Ledinska gora - yesterday start at 6.20 below Rinka waterfall and home departure at 13.00

We choose easy marked paths (according to descriptions on your site). Yesterday's tour to Ledinski vrh caused us some headaches on some sections due to rocks. But it wasn't too much. We walked a total of 6.5 hours.

Hiking uphill is no problem for us, we have fitness. The only problem is pitons and the rest. We'd like to go somewhere with safe paths to walk.

We're from Maribor, so it would be great if starting points are from Solčava and similar. Many are from Jesenice, and from there it's a bit too far for us. Though for a good tour we'd go there too


Where else do you recommend to us?

Generally, I'm interested in the SALEWA rapace gtx model or salewa mtn trainer mid gtx: are these suitable boots also for summer use and versatile also for easier terrain (pohorje etc.) or should I look for something else?
Which to choose if both models are available at the same price? What's the difference between them anyway?

Is it possible that salewa seemed narrow to me? Length was right for me, although it would be almost necessary to try 40.5 which they don't have. In width it felt like the boot "held" me. At the heel I had some space widthwise. Does that mean too narrow boot and I need to look for a wider model??

Somehow still searching for exactly what boot to buy, suitable for Pohorje hikes as well as mountains - up to 2300m. Means also some rocks, but path to them mostly through forest

Alpina Nepal didn't impress me on the foot overall. Compared to salewa they felt clumsy on the foot.

Please some advice regarding the above....

It's hell trying on such boots when they have sizes 37, 38 and 40. I have foot 39. I probably need 40, but if they had half a size bigger I would try it because of the feel. But they don't. And what then?
