Some time ago I noticed on the forum a warning about fines for improper parking. Last week (25.08.2011) the wardens were diligently doing their job. In Zadnjica valley, under the cargo cableway to Kriške pode there were plenty of warden warnings, even wheel clamps on cars.

In short, warning to all who like to park right in front of the "doorstep", better a bit more walking than high fines!

Hello,
on Saturday Johan and I were on Ojstrica. We went from planina Podvežak and planned to return via Vodotočnik, but on Korošica they advised us against it, saying we would get lost because there are no marks. How are the marks on Vodotočnik in the direction of planina Podvežak? The tour is nice and I would like to hike it circular again sometime.
Thanks for the answer

One more thing, on the slip it said it's violation of 13th article of TNP Law. I think the fine can be up to 200 EUR.

Read the Triglav National Park Law. Also on the Triglav National Park website it says that controls will be tightened.

Possible that foreigners put the clamps on themselves but all other parked cars had a warden notice about violation under the wipers. I met a lady who just returned from Kriški podi and couldn't believe it's happening. True also that cars parked before the cargo cableway ramp had the notice, but those parked on the marked parking did not.

Hello,
I go to the mountains because it's nice up there and I feel freedom. As for food, before hiking and during I eat something light then if possible "spoon food" in the hut. I drink a lot, after the tour also "Kozel". I feel really good and that's the point.

Bon appétit!

Hello,
I go to hills always in company with Johan. We are from the capital but not Ljubljaners. For quite some years we wander above 1000m. Per year we do some 40 to 50 visits. We go each for our own soul, as only up there you feel true freedom. We very much like to withdraw to peace and quiet, since our daily life is too stressful. In short, to hills for relaxation and gathering new strength.
Nice greeting to all.

Johan and I can also praise the keepers of our huts. But I must note that we have noticed some hikers bring bad mood into the hut, even those who are superfluous to themselves. We try to elicit a smile from tired groups with friendly words. If possible, we have something with us to offer them. I think it still holds: smile and good mood always find a nice place.

Johan keeps me company in the mountains, together we have 100; Johan is 8 years older.

From spring to autumn every 14 days over 2000 m. From late autumn to spring every 14 days around 1500 m. Every day 1 hour extra to a smaller hill and at the end of the week, if not in the mountains, 2 hours to 1000 m. The last for fitness. It is necessary to consider that daily work and family care are necessary. Yes, that's how it is with us women!

Good luck!

Big thanks to everyone in turn. I myself am a lot in our mountains, every 14 days and so far I've walked a large part of our mountains. I get information in various ways, statements from individuals who have already walked paths I haven't mean a lot to me. Every response is welcome, experiences vary. Based on that I then choose the path. The direction on Kanin is determined based on your statements: for the direction Dom Petra Skalarja - Laška Planja - Visoki Kanin. The next day I'll visit Rombon and the last day before descending to the valley is Prestreljenik. I plan the trip end of August and when I return I'll report my impressions.
Thanks again, you've helped me a lot.

Thanks for the reply, I'll inquire. My experience, is it enough that I've done Tominškova, and via the cable on Baba at Jezersko, and through Žrelo to Storžič and similar. Is the section on Kanin more demanding?

Thanks again

Hello,
I'll be on Kanin for a few days and I'm interested if anyone knows what the path from Visoki Kanin towards Laška Planja and further to Dom Petra Skalarja is like. Also interested in approximate time for the tour: station D - Visoki Kanin - Laška Planja - Dom Petra Skalarja? By my estimate around 6 hours.
Does anyone know where I could get a map for the Kanin area?

Thanks to all.

Last year me and Johanček went like this:
Planina Blato - Krstenica - Velo polje (Vodnikov dom) - Kredarica - Triglav - Dolič - Hribarce - Dolina Sedmerih - Štapce - Planina Jezero - Planina Blato.

We overnighted twice, at Kredarica and at Sedmerih. First day we hiked to Kredarica, second day over Triglav past Dolič to Sedmerih, third day over Štapce past Planina Jezero to start. Daily we hiked about 7 hours, except the last day we were picking a lot and dragging slowly. Nowhere we were in a hurry. We had nice weather, views were wonderful. I liked the tour because start and end are at the same place.

On Saturday Johan and I went to Golica via Rožca and Klek. On Rožca they are just opening, also from Jekljevo sedlo up some already blooming, others opening. It was nice.
