jure 88; commenting from memory of similar conditions from past springs: potential trouble might be from avalanches crossing good 100 m from section above planina Trstje, from where you first meet the cable. 'Renovated path' means the part where you used to cross chasm over little bridge is permanently closed; but 'detour' is equipped with some aids. Next trouble might be last part of path before crossing torrent to planina Spodnji Tosc. Nothing impossible, but recommend ice axe. On slope to path crossing Tosc, snow I assume crusty. By location, expect most snow from planina to that path. Continuation I'd say without problems, don't know what you meant by 'Velo polje'. Vodnikov dom or planina? Advise at junction where Voje valley route joins, continue to Dolič, and if goal Vodnikov dom, access from planina Velo polje. Don't recommend crossing from junction to hut... P.S.: For access to Velo polje this period first dry route from Voje valley via Spodnje Vrtače. It was fading years ago; path not maintained, hard to pass due to fallen trees and harder to follow. If still interesting to you then on your own. Cheers

dj12: Planina Blato is clear, of the mentioned directions Krstenica is the most suitable regarding snow-free conditions. Regarding Laz: when you can already pick dandelions on the planina, on the path section that turns away from the view of Blato, snow persists for at least another 3 weeks. Similar if approaching from Planina pri Jezeru direction. I mentioned Dedno polje in the comment above; let me emphasize again, the road to Blato is still closed; in shady spots you encounter snow above 1200 m. It is not settled, so it sinks. If it bothers someone, let them wait a bit more; otherwise, set out with snowshoes.

Barrier opens only to card holders, and even they don't benefit much, as the last road section above the Pod Blatarjem bend (overhanging rock) to the Vogar-Blato junction is snowy; continuation to the parking lot, as well as the parking lot, is dry except the first 50 m from the junction; for the Vogar direction, the road is almost fully still under snow. Don't know if they'll plow, because by May 1 snow on those sections definitely won't have melted. Regarding conditions to Planina pri Jezeru, snow patches on the path above Klaneta (rock passage) suddenly turn into up to a meter of snow. The path is well trodden, but caution is advised when crossing the 'Nad Pongratom' section (exposed part where the shortcut from Blato joins), as it can be frozen and icy in the morning. No other issues, snow doesn't sink, but it's different if you continue further from Planina. 'Well' trodden only to Dedno polje. Don't let this spoil your plans and safe steps.

Robert, correct comment, just add that Fužina is written with capital. Well that's the smallest problem; the joke is that toll to Voje/Blato is cheaper than multi-hour parking fee before barrier, so many swimmers pretend to go to Blato, actually go to coast, leave car few meters behind it. Wardens wring hands, affected complain, municipality raised toll to Blato to 15€ this year... Hope you return sometime within speed limits to these nice parts self-catered with food, go up/down to Vogel on foot via Žagarjev graben and save, if I calculated right, 164€.
