Can traverse left side along rocks but great caution needed.

On top at 05.00 in the morning. Decent snow patches on the scree and lots of fresh snow, careful. Regards

Today walked the path from Podvežak towards Mala Ojstrica and along the ridge to Ojstrica.
Path excellent up to first obstacle < before spotting Kocbek > at that crossing full gear needed.

Ridge top some snow and some dry < mixed > but crampons mandatory and extra caution.

Descent to Kocbek without major issues.

Today's track made from Mislinja towards Black Peak. Snow from half a meter to a meter.. Conditions are excellent

Today I walked the path from Podvežak towards Mala Ojstrica and via Velika Ojstrica. There is still quite a lot of snow (southern and wet) in certain sections and thorough caution is needed, especially the last scree section (before spotting Kocbek) requires great care.
The upper section along the ridge from Mala Ojstrica to Velika Ojstrica still has quite some snow patches and one needs to be careful again.
Lots of loose rocks along the ridge which will fly off if stepped on, we know how it is

For family outings with small kids it's better to wait a bit longer

My initial message was not meant for that topic, but just condolences and maybe a useful exchange of information as someone before me wrote; we need to talk.

In no way was it meant as judging, God forbid!

A sad day yesterday for the beautiful Storžič, condolences to all relatives who suffered a loss yesterday. The mountain took them to itself.

All of us, out of respect for the high mountains and rescuers, should stay at safer spots.
