Not much snow, the path is well trodden.

Snow is blown away or frozen, on sun-exposed places no more of it.

On Tuesday (17.12.) to Slemenova Špica from Vršič. Path to Vratc partly icy, partly snowy and partly bare, further from the pass snowy but well trodden. Crampons (chains) needed.

Path to Vršič from Tonka's hut along old road mostly snowy, snow is sun-exposed and slightly sinking. Towards Vršič summit partly bare, partly lots of snow.

The trail was trodden this Friday (more below, much less above).

Today to Uskovnica via Lom, back via Ribnica. Path via Lom (at arrow continue straight) is nicely trodden, return path via Ribnica crosses steep forest slopes, less trodden and snow sinks in when walking. We return to same path at arrow on first picture.

Right at the entrance to the secured part of the path you need to cross a slightly uncomfortable snowfield.

Yesterday on the path home - Bela peč - Planina Javornik - Javorniški sedlo - home no deep snow anywhere. But partly ice, partly bare, partly snow that doesn't sink or sinks only a little. Crampons needed.

Condition on March 2: from old Ljubelj onwards to summit partly bare, partly snow. Bypass around ridge to summit was icy and required crampons.

On Saturday 8.2. from Klippitztorl pass towards Forstalpe summit. Part of the path without snow, partly windblown and towards the summit icy. In the forest (we returned via loop path) up to 40 cm snow and trodden.

We met a female hiker a bit below the summit, chatted with her. Before that, company of 3 fun couples with dog "grizli". We assume you're the first one.

Yesterday to Goli vrh from start at tourist farm Ancel (road closed ahead). Snow already well transformed, path fairly trodden. Only some spots lower down quite icy. Top about 50 cm snow.

Yesterday from the upper station of the cable car at Peca ski resort to Bistriška špica. To the Knips saddle the path is nicely trodden, similarly further to Končnikov vrh. Further towards Bistriška špica snow is deep in places and sinks in. Mostly the snow is dry, in places windblown, parts of the path are wet.

Today in snowfall and wind from Ribniška koča to Grmovškov dom and back. The path was well trodden and the snow hadn't settled yet. By 16 o'clock 5 cm of snow had already fallen.

Today on Lepenatka from St. Lenart church via Kal, descent along the ridge past the observation post. Road to the sign at the church (pic 1) and further to the next parking is plowed. At start approx. 5 cm snow, towards summit up to 20. In upper part snow windblown and frozen in places, crampons recommended.
