Žirk is 663 meter high peak. The peak is located in country Slovenia 1.1 km southwest from the center of Žiri and 2 km south from the center of Selo. The nearest mountain hut is Dom na Goropekah, located 2km east-southeast. A little further is bivouac Zavetišče gorske straže na Jelencih. East-southeast of the summit is the valley Ljubljansko barje.
