Sonnenwand - Croda del Sole is 2929 meter high peak in the National Park Stelvio. The peak is located 6 km southeast from the center of Sulden - Solda and 12 km east-southeast of Trafoi. The nearest mountain hut is Martellerhütte - Rifugio Martello, located 3km southeast. A little further is Julius Payer Stadl. 6 km east of the peak there is lake Zufritt-Stausee - Lago di Gioveretto. 3 km north from the summit there is glacier Rosimferner - Vedretta di Rosim, 5 km southeast from the summit there is also glacier Ultenmarktferner - Vedretta Ultima. The peak is located west of the valley Martelltal.
