Description:
Schieferspitz is 2816 meter high peak and is part of the Natural Park Gruppo di Tessa. The peak is located 6 km north-northwest from the center of Vellau - Velloi and 6 km south from the center of Pfelders - Plan. The nearest mountain hut is Schutzhütte Oberkaseralm, located 1.4km south-southeast. Even closer is bivouac Zielhütte, which is located 1.3km to the west-northwest. Southeast of the peak there is lake Schwarzsee - Lago Nero. 9 km west-northwest from the summit there is glacier Gurgler Ferner. The peak is located above the valley Kamltal.
