Description:
Rote Wand is 2818 meter high peak and is part of the Villgraten Mountains. The peak is located 4 km east-southeast from the center of Antholz Obertal - Anterselva di Sopra and 6 km northwest from the center of St. Magdalena - Santa Maddalena in Casies. The nearest mountain hut is Barmer Hütte, located 6km north. Closer is Pichleralm, which is located 4km to the west. 6 km northwest from the summit there is glacier Östlicher Rieserferner - Vedretta di Ries orientale, 7 km north-northwest from the summit there is also glacier Lenksteinferner - Vedretta di Sasso Lungo. North-northeast of the summit is the valley Antholzer Tal - Valle di Anterselva.
