Mittagkopf

Description:
Mittagkopf is 2709 meter high peak in the Ötztal Alps. The peak is located 1.6 km north of peak Falbenairspitze - Punta di Val Benair. The nearest mountain hut is Weißkugelhütte - Rifugio Pio XI alla Palla Bianca, located 4km east-northeast. A little further is bivouac Holzer Hütte. 4 km east-southeast from the summit there is glacier Freibrunner Ferner - Vedretta della Fontana, 6 km east-southeast from the summit there is also glacier Matscher Ferner - Ghiacciaio di Mazia. The peak is located in the valley Langtauferer Tal - Vallelunga.
