Matajur

Description:
Matajur is 1645 meter high peak located in the Julian Alps mountain range. The peak is located on the border between the country of Slovenia and the country of Italy. The nearest mountain hut is Dom na Matajure, located 0.5km southwest. A little further is bivouac Ricovero Casera Monte Mia. The peak is located northeast above the mountain pasture Marsinska Planina. The peak is located southwest of the valley Dolina Lepene and northeast above the mountain pasture Marsinska Planina, but a marked trail leads to the summit.
