The peak is located in country Italy 4 km west from the center of St. Johann im Ahrntal - San Giovanni Valle Aurina and 4 km north-northeast from the center of Weißenbach - Riobianco and 1.1 km southeast of peak Steinstreichen. The nearest mountain hut is Schwarzensteinhütte - Rifugio al Sasso Nero, located 3km north-northwest. A little further is Alpenverein Ahrntal. 3 km northwest from the summit there is glacier Schwarzenbachkees - Vedretta di Rio Nero, 4 km northwest from the summit there is also glacier Schwarzensteinkees. North of the summit is the valley Floitengrund.
