Description:
I. Hornspitz is 3172 meter high peak in the Zillertal Alps. The peak is located on the border between the country of Italy and the country of Austria. The nearest mountain hut is Schwarzensteinhütte - Rifugio al Sasso Nero, located 3km east-northeast. A little further is Alpenverein Ahrntal. 0.5 km south-southwest from the summit there is glacier Mitterbachkees - Vedretta del Rio di Mezzo, 0.9 km east-northeast from the summit there is also glacier Schwarzenbachkees - Vedretta di Rio Nero. Northwest of the summit is the valley Zemmgrund.
