Dengelstein - Monte Dengolo is 2698 meter high peak and is part of the Zillertal Alps. The peak is located 0.8 km south of peak Schwarze Riffl - Scoglio Nero and east-northeast above the mountain pasture Gruipa Alm. The nearest mountain hut is Edelrauthütte, located 4km north. A bit closer is Malga Valzara, which is located 1.1km to the northwest. 6 km north from the summit there is glacier Gliederferner - Ghiacciaio del Gran Pilastro. North of the summit is the valley Schlegeisgrund.
