Description:
Mitterscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2830 meters and is part of the Verwall Alps. The saddle is located in country Austria 0.2 km north of peak Vollandspitze. The nearest mountain hut is Neue Heilbronner Hütte, located 3km west-southwest. A little further is Fasulhütte. 5 km northeast from the saddle there is glacier Großer Kuchenferner. The saddle is located above the valley Schönverwalltal.
