Forcella Montalon

Description:
Forcella Montalon is a saddle at an altitude of 2133 meters and is part of the mountain group Dolomiti di Fiemme. The saddle is located 12 km south-southeast of Molina di Fiemme and 12 km north-northwest of Samone. The nearest mountain hut is Hotel SAT Lagorai, located 4km south-southeast. A bit closer is bivouac Malga Valsorda seconda, which is located 3km to the east. South of the saddle there is lake Lago Montalon. The saddle is located above the valley Pian della Maddalena.
