Žovnek Castle

Description of peak:
Žovnek Castle is located on a small lookout point to the west or north-west of Lake Žovneški. The castle, which is currently being renovated (January 2011), offers a beautiful view of the nearby Grmada, Lake Žovneška, part of the Savinja Valley and the Posavje Hills. The castle, which was first mentioned in the 12th century, has a registration box and a registration book, but the stamp is currently damaged (January 2011).
