Description of pass:
Žleb above Suho ruševje lies between Palec and Zelenjak on the border ridge with Austria. It is popular among ski tourers due to the pleasant, not overly steep descent. From Žleb there is a fine view of the nearby walls of Vrtača, Zelenjak and Palec. To the south, Begunjščica and its northern slopes are clearly visible. From Žleb the route can continue to Palec via a demanding unmarked path, or to Zelenjak via an equally demanding path. It is also possible to head up the very demanding off-trail gully Ipsilon to Vrtača.
