Lokovnikov Grintovec / Grintoutz

Description of mountain:
Lokovnikov Grintovec is a dwarf pine-covered peak north of Košutica, separated from it by Dovjakovo sedlo saddle (1,728 m). Its southwestern and western slopes are surrounded by the expansive Dovjakova planina pasture, while it descends toward Hajnžev graben with steep grass and scree. To the east, the smaller Majerjevo sedelce saddle (1,625 m) connects it to the forested Praprotnik / Zeller Praprotnik (1,727 m), where Majerjeva planina and Lokovnikova planina (1,543 m) extend. Its northern slopes descend steeply toward Petrovec / Petrouz (1,506 m). The peak is rarely visited, as evidenced by the path almost overgrown with dense dwarf pines and partially faded blazes. Such rare visits are ultimately inexplicable, as it is regarded as an exceptionally panoramic summit. Indeed, the view may even be finer than from the neighboring, slightly higher Košutica.
