Chapel Na Koren

Description of church:
The nice and recently renovated chapel Na Koren is located on a panoramic slope of Hom hill, north below the village of Kupljenik in the municipality of Bled.
According to folk tradition, in the 16th century the construction of the Church of St. Stefan began by Homec hill near Selo. However, everything built during the day was mysteriously moved overnight across the Sava Bohinjka to Na Koren below Kupljenik. Because of this the church construction was relocated, but since the site of the chapel was too remote, they built the church higher up, next to the village houses in Kupljenik.
From the Na Koren chapel, where there is a bench, visitors enjoy a fine view of the Bled surroundings with the castle and nearby hills, and the Karawanks in the background.
