Description of mountain:
Herzog Ernst Spitze is a less prominent peak in the ridge west of Schareck in the Goldberg mountain group. It is more often chosen as a standalone goal in winter months, while in summer most mountaineers continue to the Schareck summit. From the top there is a nice view of numerous peaks in the Goldberg group, and the view of Lake Hochwurtenspeicher is also beautiful.
