Description of mountain:
Alteck is a 2,942-meter-high peak rising steeply above Lake Hochwurtenspeicher next to the Mölltaler Gletscher ski slope. From the summit, where a large cross stands, there is a very nice view of much of the Goldberg mountain group. Hoher Sonnblick and Schareck are especially prominent.
