Description of mountain:
Großer Koppenkarstein is a 2865-meter-high mountain in the Dachstein mountain group. It is situated above the Schladminger Gletscher glacier. From the top, which has a cross, there is a nice view towards the peaks above the mentioned glacier. On the summit of the mountain there is also a solar power plant and a smaller building owned by the army.
