Vitovlje (Križišče) - Vitovski hrib (by road)

Access to starting point:
From the Vipava - Nova Gorica highway, take the Selo exit and follow the road ahead in the direction of the villages Črniče and Šempas. When we come to the village Vitovlje, pay attention, because in the middle of the village we will leave the main road and continue driving in the direction of the Maloščevo farm (the turn-off is marked). Further, we drive through the village on a narrow and steep road which brings us higher to the signpost with the inscription »Vitovska krožna pot«. We continue left past the last houses on the increasingly steep road, which only a little higher changes into a macadam road alongside which we then park (the most appropriate parking spot is between the fourth and fifth Stations of the Cross).

Route description:
From the starting point called Križišče, we continue on the increasingly rough macadam road, which after a few minutes of walking brings us to a well-marked junction where to the left branches off the marked path to Trpinovšče, the memorial plaque and Vodice. We continue on the right path, which past the Stations of the Cross brings us to the next well-marked junction near the summit Vitovski hrib. Again we continue right along the increasingly rough road, which here finally turns into a cart track, following it to the panoramic summit where a church stands.
