Access to starting point:
A) From the highway Ljubljana - Koper, we take the exit Brezovica, and then we continue driving in the direction of Podpeči (to Podpeči we can also come from Črna vas or Ig). In Podpeči we continue in the direction of Borovnica, Krim and Rakitna, and we continue driving for a short time along the edge of the Ljubljana Marsh, and then the signs for Rakitna direct us left onto a steep ascending road. The road then leads us through Preserje, where it also starts descending. After a short descent, we continue left in the direction of Krim and Rakitna, and we follow the mostly ascending road to a crossroad, where the road towards Krim branches off to the left. At the crossroad there is enough space where we can park.
B) First, we drive to CerkniCA, and then we continue driving in the direction of Begunje; when we arrive in Begunje, we follow the signs for Rakitna. From Rakitna we continue driving on the main road towards the settlement Preserje, and we drive along it to the crossroad, where a road towards Krim branches off to the right. At the crossroad there is enough space where we can park.
Route description:
From the parking lot, we go on a macadam road in the direction of Krim. The road soon goes into the forest, where it then barely ascends for 1 hour. A little further, the road on the left side crosses a somewhat larger clearing and then starts gradually descending. After 5 minutes of descent, it brings us to a crossroad, where we continue left again in the direction of Krim. The road ahead starts ascending steeper, then flattens again, and from the left a path joins us which comes from the valley (Preserje, Jezero, Tomišelj, Vrbljane and Strahomer). We continue on the road, which soon exits the forest and brings us to a larger parking lot.
For continuing, we have two options. We can ascend to the summit on a footpath which leads us past a cross and over part of a meadow, or we can ascend to the summit on a macadam road. Both paths join before the mountain hut, from where a nice view also opens up.

We went to Krim from the parking lot below sv. Ano and via Planinca. The path is well marked and nicely routed through the forest. Yesterday it was a bit muddy in places due to rain during the week. Had to watch out for wet rocks and roots. Otherwise it's great. At the top wonderful view of Julijce, Kamniške and towards Snežnik. In the hut very good food and friendly host.

but when you get up there, there's no trace of snow. last time I checked the conditions last Saturday, today I even boasted to my friend that I'm going up and they have some snow!!!!! sun and wind that's all there was. but I got all excited. but the trip was more than enjoyable, first time I went alone and I was very satisfied. Highly recommend
