Log - Pečke (via Meranovo)

Access to starting point:
From the road Maribor - Ruše, in the settlement Bistrica ob Dravi we turn left (from the direction Ruše right) towards Log. Further on, we drive through Log; a little before the end of the settlement, we notice on the left a wooden small bridge and on it signs for Meranovo. We park at a suitable place by the road near the small bridge.

Route description:
From the starting point, we walk to the wooden bridge, cross it, then along the bushes continue to the edge of the forest, where we go left. A little further, the path turns onto the slope and starts to ascend along an older logging trail; at the junctions, we follow that logging trail alongside which a poorer footpath continues. Higher up follows some more diagonal ascent to the left and we reach a marked junction on Meranovo, where we continue right towards Pečke and Bolfenk.
Further, we are accompanied by occasional Knafelc blazes, and we with the path continue along the macadam road, which takes us past the Medena učna pot educational trail to the farm, where a few-minute descent ends.
We continue towards Pečke and begin to ascend along a wider cart track. Further on, from the northern slopes, we gradually transition to the western slopes along which we continue a somewhat longer diagonal ascent. Higher, we cross a stream, behind it we ascend more steeply. The steepness quickly eases, then we continue crossing the slopes. A little further, we cross another streamlet and along the eastern slopes easily ascend to a junction where we join the steep path. Here we go left and in a minute of further walking we arrive at the Dom na Pečkah hut.
