Monday, 9.10.2023 (bike trip and a bit on foot)
Parked under Višarje, then steadily into Vrtinjlogarski graben. On bike of course. First climb before the valley, asphalt, warmed me up well, also sweated me; to Vrtinjlogarsko sedlo I pedaled decently. There short break for thirst and memories (photographing), then a bit down into Austria and steeply up towards Zahomska planina. Pressing pedals in steep merciless climb, when I spot Ojstrnik, I know I'm already quite high. Shortly later I see nice cottages, a bit after already cheering at the big barn on the alm. Lock the bike to the fence, safety first, and hike up on foot to nearby Zahomec. Like on the alm pretty windy, so stop is short, sightseeing, memories and photographing, then quickly down. Over dirt and rocks on the meadow I ride to the cart track and continue on it to St. Hubertus chapel. To there ragged track, holes, rocks, dry mud, really varied, at end steep concreted slope, like arriving at ski jump inrun. To chapel I passed by, there I dress, look around and already speed towards Ukvam. Road, wide for car and quarter, blind, curves of course, but I don't give in and boldly speed down out, even press pedals to go faster. When I arrive under farm tourism at more main road I turn towards Ukvam and a bit more cautiously, but not slower, continue to valley. Stop in church to light two candles for all mine, still living and deceased, remember couple nice events with them, and already continue towards Žabnice. After Ukvam turn to bike path and in solitude alone end wonderful ramble. Really nice and pleasant
